Sheldon Kirshner of the Canadian Jewish News, writing in “The Kirshner File” a feature of the Toronto- based newspaper, reviewed Ben Woods’ Defying Evil, a recent title dealing with how the Italian Army and Government defied the Nazis and fascists in Croatia during World War II and worked to save thousands of Jews from the Holocaust.
