John W. Quinn author of Someone Like Me will be guest speaker at the annual affair of the Michigan Paralyzed Veterans of America on Wednesday 9, 2011. The event will be held at the Vista Tech Center at Schoolcraft College in Livonia, Michigan. The Salute to Veterans Gala serves as the MPVA’s largest annual fundraiser which helps to sustain the Chapter’s mission of enhancing the lives of veterans with spinal cord injury or disease as well as all citizens with disabilities. John served in the U.S.Navy rising to the ramk of chief petty officer despite having cerebral palsy which was unknown to Navy medical officials. He told his story in Someone Like Me.
