Midwest Book Review on Charlie's Place
November 7, 2012 — Print this Page
On the edge of civilization, people are always drawn to the new. Charlie’s Place: The Saga of an American Frontier Homestead discussed the history of one such farm and homestead and how the world pushed forward beyond it and evolved forward in spite of it all. Michael S. Malone brings forth a social history that tells of a family’s story and the people within it who kept a farm alive over generations. Charlie’s Place is a fine history of Americana, very much recommended.
