Kent Whitaker, known commercially as The Deck Chef, is a writer and author of three food related books. He has extensively researched the history of food and nutrition in American conflicts, focusing on the Civil War and World War II.
He is a graduate of East Tennessee State University and resides with his wife and son in East Ridge, Tennessee.
